Leading Nigeria-based real estate classified Propertypro.ng has introduced a home services section on its site.

Called Services, the section lets real estate agents, buyers and renters find verified home services like cleaners, electricians, carpenters and painters.

The category currently displays nearly 300 listings. Propertypro plans to keep the service free as it ramps up its listings database, but the plan is to monetize it in the future.

Services also allows Propertypro to pull additional income from real estate transactions by moving further down the value chain. At the same time, the section provides another source for user engagement and an opportunity to build additional revenue.

Propertypro.ng also recently overhauled its website to make it more mobile-friendly. Mobile is now the company’s largest traffic channel.

PropertyPro was co-founded by four Nigerian entrepreneurs and closed a $1.2 million investment from Frontier Digital Ventures in 2017. It lists over 60,000 properties with nearly 20,000 partnering agents. Last month, the site had 589,000 visits according to SimilarWeb. – AIMGroup
