DAR ES SALAAM, 11 May 2017 – Kupatana.com, Tanzania’s leading online marketplace, today announced the recent appointment of Jason Gibson as General Manager. Jason’s appointment underpins the company’s aggressive growth plans, with his responsibility in overseeing the advancement of Kupatana.com’s local operations.
Jason joins the company from Sokowatch (formerly Reliefwatch), where he previously served as General Manager. During his tenure, he was responsible for managing the company’s operations which involved the distribution of fast moving consumer goods into the traditional trade in Tanzania. Prior to Sokowatch, Jason leadership successfully led to the recruitment, branding, and training of over 50,000 merchants in the Tigo Pesa Merchant Activation Project and previously, a key driving force to increasing operational efficiencies at Tanzania Breweries Limited, with his team servicing over 24,000 outlets weekly.
