PropertyPro.ng, a member of ToLet Property Group, last week held Africa Real Estate & Conference otherwise referred to as AFRECA 2018, in Lagos with the theme: Growing Afeican  Cities: The Reshaping Model.

The event which had Stephen Ipalibo-Lawson as the official host, had real estate professionals, enthusiasts, investors and government representatives from different parts of the world in attendance to deliberate on how to reshape the African real estate sector by various presenters and speakers.

In his keynote address, Lagos State Governor, Akinwunmi Ambode who was represented by the state Commissioner for Housing, Prince Gbolahan Lawal, disclosed that his administration is doing everything possible to ensure that the real estate sector experiences multifaceted growth in the state.

Welcoming guests to the annual event earlier, the CEO and co-founder of ToLet Property Group, Fikayo Ogundipe, said current challenges confronting the real estate sector of the nation’s economy, informed the decision by his firm to embark on the annual event as a forum to finding solution to the nagging housing issues in the country.

The role of government and private sector in sustainable and equitable housing, automated security solutions for residential developments, optimising real estate funding to create a favourable investment climate in Africa, the importance of risk management and insurance in re-shaping cities and boosting investors’ confidence, housing policies in Africa, urban planning and transformation as well as impact of paints industry on real estate, featured prominently at the conference.
